Start writing your message text in the left pane, or copy/paste a message from the translation .po files or the C++ code. The text will be intelligently extracted from multi-line C++ strings and '\n' characters will be converted to newlines.
The vertical line in the preview pane shows the
80-column boundary. You must wrap your message manually so it stays on the left of this line.
Use the toolbar buttons or the Ctrl+1-8 and Ctrl+Shift+1-8 shortcuts to add colour tags around the cursor or the current selection.
Use the Remove Tag button to remove tags from around the cursor or the selection.
[color] and [reset] tags must be used in pairs without nesting. When the cursor is inside a tag, both ends of the tag-pair are highlighted. If there is nesting, the first invalid tag is highlighted in red.
If you want to start from scratch, press Strip All Tags to remove all tags.
When you're done, press Copy As C++ String at the bottom then paste it back into the code or the translation .po file.
